Arlene Bonnie Metzler, known to family and friends as Bonnie, left this earth to be with the lord on May 14, 2018 at age of 76. Born March 10, 1942 in Pottstown, Pa., She was the daughter of the now deceased Arthur and Kathryn Newhard.

While growing up in Pottstown, Bonnie was an avid roller skater and swimmer. She graduated High School in 1960. Married in 1961 to Larry Metzler, she entered the next phase of her life. Being a wife and mother to tow little girls, the family relocated to Titusville, Florida in 1971. She was a homemaker for many years until her children were grown. She then began her career at the Kennedy Space Center where she worked until retirement.

Bonnie was a woman of many interests. She loved learning about history and love to read. Flowers and animals were another of her passions. Sometimes people would bring their wounded animals so she could nurse them back to health. She was also a fan of auto-racing with Dale Earnhardt being her favorite driver. She loved to watch baseball, especially her favorite team, the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Lord has always played a huge role in Bonnies life. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and vacation bible school at various times through out her life.

Her passing was unexpected and she will be missed by so many. Her survivors include her husband, Larry Metzler, her two daughters Kim Bumgarner of North Carolina and Teri Metzler of Titusville Florida. Her four grandchildren; Kelly Stamey ( Chris), Kerri Bumgarner, Kristi Metzler and Kyle Metzler. Five great grandchildren; Noah, Michael, Raeya, Leland and Amelia. She also has a surviving sister, Kathryn Kemble of Middletown, PA. She will also be missed by her beloved fur babies, Goldie Chloe and Kit.

May she forever rest in peace.
