What a pleasant person Kathi was. I met Kathi at UCF, and she has always been the same person over the years, genuine, caring and personable. If it wasn’t a smile she carried, it was an on-time joke. My heart sank when I heard of her passing. She will be missed.

Dear Roger and Family,
Kathi was my "lunch buddy". We would try to go out to lunch as much as possible to catch up and we always had fun and so many laughs.
Words cannot express how sad I am and how much I will miss her. Not only a co-worker but she was truly my Friend. I will try to remember happier times with her. With a heavy heart, please send my condolences to your family. Denise Devlin

I met Kathi about 20 years ago, when I first came to UCF. She was always a very kind, friendly person. She was always smiling, and honest.
I am glad I had the opportunity to know her.
I will miss her.

My first memory of Kathi is at my parents' house. She was always laughing and eager to help cook. I had the honor of being the flower girl in her wedding, when she married my cousin Roger. Roger has always been more like a big brother than a cousin, and our family loved Kathi just the same.
I never mentioned Roger without saying Kathi....."Roger and Kathi" is how we all spoke of them. You never saw them together without seeing one give the other a loving touch of the hand, or a kiss. I will miss her smile and laughter at our family reunions.
She was loved dearly, and will be missed each day.
Until I see you again,
Michele Harris

Dear Harris Family and sister Koni:
-It was very sad for me to learn of her passing so soon in life and I join in your sorrow.
Kathi and I worked together since 1994 in Electrical Engineering and then a few years in the Engineering Dean’s Office at UCF. I have fund memories of us girls working together. Also the time when we went shopping to decorate my office. The last time I saw Kathi was 4 years ago at a gathering at the Student Union. We talked about your twin sister and nephews how tall they were then. Complimented you on your short hairstyle as you always had long hair. Kathi will always be remembered by many at UCF. Blessings to the family.

Roger, Cliff, Garry, Dwayne, Rodney, and Koni:
My heart is heavy with grief for all of you. I read through the messages that people before me have left. It has been 20 years since I have seen most of you (including Kathi). Olivia captured so much of my memories of Kathi and your entire family - the enjoyment of family get togethers, the bonfires, especially the "simple life". I forgot all about her saying "dear heart" and can also hear her voice with those words.
I do not remember the potato casserole, but I d0 know (and still make to this day) Gloria's potato salad. She told me the secret ingredient is mixing by your hand (literally)! One Thanksgiving get together, Kathi shared with me her secret ingredient to mashed potatoes - adding mayo. Both Gloria's and Kathi's recipes are relished and live on forever with my get togethers. Lisa shared an incredible memory of Kathi when Gloria passed. Kathi assumed that role of mother hen and did it very well. She was a very caring and nourishing person and literally was able to get everyone through the loss of Gloria. There are no words that I can say to any of you that will get you through this. Each of you will find your own way. Lean on each other for support. There will be good days and there will be really bad days. The social media of today shares so many sayings that people find comforting. I have one on my wall when we lost Riley.
The Guardian Angels of Life fly so high as to be beyond our site, but they are always looking down upon us.
I take comfort in knowing that Kathi is now with Gloria, Harold, Kim, and our son, Riley. Is that supposed to make you feel better? No, but as we all know, this is the passage of life. Please take comfort in knowing that you have another Angel looking over and down on all of you. Take Care and know that we (Alex, Brian, Sara, Jeremy, Cameron, and me) love you all.

Our dear dear Kathi.
You were so many things to so many people, but you were my person. I thank God that He let us have you, even if it was for just a short time. You will forever be loved beyond measure and missed beyond words!
Your sister at heart, Gina

Dear aunt Kathi,
You made an impact in my life, your kindness and hospitality will be missed. Thank you for all the family gatherings that you encouraged and the eagerness to open your home.
The bonfires, the country feel and celebrating the 'simple life' are a few things that remind me of you. Also roosters.
I'm sad that my son didn't get to spend more time with you. He won't get to experience the amazing potato casserole or hear your laugh. I can still hear the way you would say 'dear heart'.
The love that you and uncle Roger shared was beautiful.
I hope you know you are loved.
Xoxo

Oh my word,Kathi is my twin: 3 minutes older in fact. Our family knows this of course. Kathi was the glue in our family, she was my rock I called her "Rocky" and she called me "Pebble". I will miss her loving ways about her and her feisty-ness! Kathi will be missed by so many . Her husband of 30 years was her life, she has been with him since she was nineteen years old. They together helped so many people in so many different ways. I am still in shock.... Kathi I love you. I will miss your dancing to Prince and Brooks and Dunn !!You have made me laugh and cry, and made me strong. I will cherish so may memories. You are with a circle of our families who are in heaven.
~ Konstance Richardson - September 27, 2018
My little sister Kathi was my best friend who helped me through many hard times and always gave me unconditional love and support.
I will miss her greatly, but I know those loved ones that have gone before her will be there to welcome her with open arms hugs and kisses.
~ Dwayne Richardson - September 27, 2018
Its hard to choose just a few words to say about Kathi as she was a wonderful person.
Kathi naturally assumed the mother role of the Richardson clan after her mother Gloria died. Those qualities came easy for her as she was a incredibly nuturing, loving, caring, genuine, smart and fun person to be around.
Kathi was also a incredible cook and she and Roger threw many a get together at their house, with lots of fun times to be remembered.
Her smile and laughter will be missed.
I take comfort in knowing that she is surrounded now by her mother Gloria, father Harold, sister Kim and the rest of her family with God's loving arms around them.
Rest assured this is not goodbye, but more like ; until we meet again .
To live in the memory of the hearts of those we leave behind, is to never die.
