Robert Leroy Mounce

1931 - 2020
Robert Leroy Mounce, 88, of The Great Outdoors, Titusville, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home. A native of Marshfield, MA, he came to Titusville 26 years ago from Pelham, NH. Even though he made his home here in Titusville he enjoyed traveling and traveled throughout the US in his motor home, always making his way back to New Hampshire for the summers. An athletic individual he played all the sports during his high school years and as he grew older he enjoyed all forms of winter sports, including skiing, curling and ice skating. As a young man his family owned a farm and he helped running and operating the farm. That sense of responsibility carried through his entire life and even at The Great Outdoors he was always available to his neighbors to assist them with repairs and chores. He also served the community as a member of the ARC Committee. He was a pilot who owned and flew a Cessna 180. A sports fan he enjoyed watching football and other sports on TV as well as playing golf when he could. He was very proud of his '55 T-Bird and enjoyed working on it as well as showing it off.

Preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Ellen, a son, Robert L, Jr.; and brothers: Lawrence & Richard; Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years: Jeanette G; sons: Richard Thomas (Patricia) of Windsor, ME, Gary L (Ann Marie) of Pepperell, MA; daughters: Cynthia M (Robert) Roy of Pelham, NH, Sharon J (Richard) Hoaglund of Derry, NH; sister: Edith Beauregard of Attleboro, MA; grandchildren: Andrew D Wamboldt, Lealand J Wamboldt, Julie Ann Mounce; great-grandchildren: Aubrie Rae Wamboldt, Brycen D Wamboldt, Layla Wamboldt, and Colin J Mounce.
