Eddie - I waited until I had the words that could explain to you what your passing has meant to me. Although I was just your sister-in-law for a short time, we have a bond that goes deeper, see you are the father of a little boy now teenager who I love deeply and have the blessed opportunity to watch grow.

Evan is so amazing and loving; you would have enjoyed watching your son grow up. He is kind and so smart, he is creative.

I said these words to you once in anger and now I say them with love in my heart and I hope you are at peace knowing that "long after you are gone, I will be here" was what I said to you, and I am keeping my promise. Eddie,

A year ago today, I found myself having to give our son the worst news anyone could imagine having to deliver. Thinking back on it still brings me to tears and I sob as I think of his little face and how confused he was, confusion turned to sorrow. All I could do was hold him. I didn't have any words. I'm sorry only goes so far so I held our boy as he wept in my arms for what seemed forever. I still weep for him. When I'm alone or in the shower, I weep. When he has a bad day. When he talks about you and his eyes fill with giant tears that he doesn't want to allow to spillover. When he sees another child with their dad and says "It's just not fair". When he wishes with all his might he could see you once more, hear your voice, and have you make him laugh like you always would. He misses you so very much. There's nothing else in the world I wish I could do but fix this; bring you back, take his pain, allow him the opportunity to have a normal childhood. Our new reality has been so hard and such a huge adjustment and none of us like it. I pray you're at peace. Your babies love you and miss you everyday. Brookie rooks, Pachito, and Mima. Hi baby, soon is going to be a month since you have left us. But your memory and presence is still with us in our hearts and minds. I have vivid memories from when we first met, I remember you walking by my register trying to get a laugh from me. I knew from the moment i put eyes on you that i would like you. The more and more i got to know you the more i fell in love with you. It was the fact that you were an incredible human being. A sensitive men with a heart of gold. No matter how you were felling if you saw somebody down or in need. You would help them, without thinking you would cheer them up or be there for them. It didn't matter if that person had hurt you in the past or simply didn't like you.

As you grew older you became a men full of ambition, it is hard to be writing this today. Knowing that you have gone too soon and aware that together we had many dreams left to fulfill. But what is important for people to know is that in over our 4 years we had together i had a chance to know the real you. It would be in your younger years were you would suffer tremendous pain. Your childhood would become a everyday a struggle and it was that pain that made you who you would become. You would transform that pain into laughter.

Then, with life came your babies, your little ones as you would call them. They would change your life forever, from them you would learn that from then on you had something you would give your life for. It gives me great comfort to know that wherever you are at now you know they are going to be well taking care of. They will forever feel your lost but as they get older. They will learn that you gave them every minute of your time while you were here and not a single second past were you weren't thinking of them. Picking them up from school, calling them or playing with them.

I can recall with the hands of my fingers the days we ever been part. It would be 4 months after we met that we would start dating and from that day on we were inseparable. These past 3 weeks have been the hardest days of my life. Not only because you are not longer here with me but because you had left 4 wonderful children that love you and miss you very much. We will never forget you.

I want to leave you with something i had sent you before beacause it represents the kind of love we had.

Las cosas anteriores han pasado.”—Rev. 21:3, 4. “Viene la hora en que todos los que están en las tumbas conmemorativas oirán su voz y saldrán,” (Juan 5:28.) La Biblia dice: “Como el último enemigo, la muerte ha de ser reducida a nada” (1 Corintios 15:26). En Isaías 25:8 leemos que Jehová “realmente se tragará a la muerte para siempre”: Dios tiene poder infinito. Solo Jehová es todopoderoso. No hay nada en todo el universo que pueda impedir que cumpla sus promesas. Sin duda la promesa de la resurrección le dará razones para sentirse feliz.

Throughout the years we've shared many stages, the most important being parenthood. When I first met you (at age 11), I never would have guessed us becoming parents to a shared child. Our lives will forever be changed by your passing. I'm sad because my childhood friend is gone but I'm even more sad that our son will never get to know you as an adult. I know you were both looking forward to that part of your lives. I'm still in complete disbelief that this is our new reality and it sucks, Ed. Look down on our boy from heaven. I'll bring Evan to visit you from time to time. Thank you for bringing Marina into our lives. I'm going to do my best to make sure the kids stay as close as possible. Oh man Eddie could get you rolling on the floor laughing, always a smile on his face. I always knew working with him would be a fun shift. I was so happy to hear when he and Marina got together, they were so cute together and you could tell they really were happy together, and when they got pregnant Eddie was just as happy as he could be. After I left Home Depot I didn't get to see him or Marina but we kept in touch on social media and Eddie's posts always made me LOL ??. I will always hold him and Marina near and dear to my heart. My condolences to his family, Eddie was such a great guy and I will never forget him.

... This is still so hard to believe... I remember the day we met about 11-12 years ago in college. I never liked to sit in the back because I was easily distracted by what other people were doing and because I couldn't see. The only seat up front was next to you and that's where it all started! (I'm so grateful that I did!) You offered me some of your chips and I ended up eating all of them lol! You never let me forget that. I was so surprised when you started talking to me in Spanish, I seriously thought you were a white guy lol! Even though we were sitting right next to each other, we'd write notes back and fourth because we couldn't talk while the instructor was talking lol but we'd still end up laughing out loud and get in trouble lol! At the time you didn't know very many people in San Antonio and stuff had happened at home that wasn't working out and you didn't have any where to go. So you called me to pick you up and you stayed with me for a couple of days until you could get your own apartment. When you finally moved into my complex, we were inseparable! You were my best friend Eddie! You knew everything about me and I knew everything about you! I missed you already because you moved back to Florida and now I'll miss you even more because you've moved back home to our Father in heaven. Eddie, thank you for making me laugh and lifting me when I was down. Thank you for being my best friend! Together we laughed, we cried, and so much more! I'll always love you! May you Rest In Peace. Dear Eddie,

It was like yesterday when we met at FritoLay. I can remember quite vividly the day I hired you and how you made me laugh all the way through your onboarding.

I can remember treating you like my little brother by saving your lunch when we had events at the office. I can recall so well the day when I didn't get a chance to leave your lunch and you walked the entire building looking for me and just as I ducked out of the bathroom I ran into you in the hallway and you called me out putting me on a guilt trip.

I know I left the company abruptly without any notice to you but you went out of your way to find me. Thanks for our chats on messenger. I know you had big dreams and I am sorry you did not get to attend to the back pain we spoke about but now it's not an issue anymore because God took care of it.

To my brother from another mother, this is your sister from another mister as we would say. This still doesn't feel right pa! seeing your name on a service. I remember the 1st time they introduced us to eachother I was bugging out cause the fact that there was another "white" Hispanic with my last name in the same city was something - duuuuuuude that was something that put a big smile on my face, that & so many other commonalities we had. I normally have answers to help every one during hard times but this time I'm still at a loss for words. I'm trying to find solace in music & the memories of laughter you gave to so many. I needed to be the first one to leave you a memory and sign this guest book. I know you were the first to say Happy Birthday to lots of people, and you were always the first person to call me on mine. I miss you so much already. You were the person I called whenever I was upset about anything. I knew you'd have me laughing in a matter of minutes regardless of what was bothering me. Remember how often we'd get in trouble for laughing as kids? It was impossible to stop. We'd have to pretend to cry and apologize so we wouldn't get spanked.
