Zory, I have such good memories of your dad. He always had a friendly smile and was always nice to me. I remember going to church a few times with your family. I felt very welcome and included. I loved the singing and the music. It all made such an impression on me. Another fond memory that I have of your dad was when he made snow cones for us at his store. I thought it was the coolest thing to have a dad who could make snow cones:-) Also, I liked walking with you and your family to bring your dad his lunch sometimes when he worked on the corner of West mains St. and Chamberlain Hwy. He was so happy to see everyone on his break. He was always such a hard worker to support your family and I admired him for that. One time he had some tropical fruit that was from another climate, so I had never seen anything like it. He encouraged me though, and it was really good. He was the only dad I knew who had chickens! It was so awesome and fun to see them walking all around on the porch. I always smile when I think of all the nice memories I have. Your dad was the greatest dad anyone could ever have!! Cant exlpiain the hurt or the pain you feel when you loose a specail person in your life uncle ismael was that person to everyone who knew him! Well its been a long journey, to think 7 days ago I was in a hospital room in icu filled with people that mean the world to me watching my grandfather take his last breaths. Now I'm sitting in a church he built so many years ago, celebrating such a wonderful life he had. Today we say goodbye Papa. To see how many lives you have touched is amazing. It has been a long, surreal weekend. You know these times are inevitable, you prepare and you pray but you are never truly ready to say goodbye.
